Keeping it Real - Toowoomba Family Photographer

Being a photographer, you would assume I have 100s of gorgeous photos of my loved ones. But in reality when it comes to taking photos for me, I'm an iphone warrior, and very rarely pull out my 'big camera'. It was my new years resolution two years ago, to make myself use my camera more often, and remember to capture things that are important to me. Not just other peoples special moments.

Last Sunday I chose to take some photos of 3 monkeys who are dear to my heart. I tried super hard to take off my 'photographer hat', and let the kids be themselves and let them run the photoshoot. As you will see from some of the creative posing, none of them are shy in front of the camera. All three of them telling me where to go, and what photos to take.

I decided to keep the photos as real as the kids. No photoshopping and making them 'picture perfect'.  So you might notice snotty noses, grubby chins and scraped elbows. But in all honesty, that is the 'perfection' I prefer to see.
